Traditionally carved Japanese style tea cups. Perfect thickness to hold heat for a nice cup of tea, or stick them in the freezer and drink your whiskey neat! If you're conflicted, there's some really good Japanese whiskey out there. Though I can personally vouch, Green Spot goes great in them.
*Do not pour boiling liquid in a frozen cup. It will explode. Or ice cold liquid in a hot cup. Same thing. Please be safe.
